As the Senior Manager, Strategy, MEDIFOX DAN, you will own strategy development at MEDIFOX DAN (MD) Group, a German leader in of out-of-hospital software solutions. MD Group consists of the MEDIFOX DAN core business and its subsidiaries aiming to deliver innovative digital solutions to ensure best in class care in the of out-of-hospital space. You will drive strategic initiatives across MD including the development and execution of the strategic value creation plan. You will also closely support M&A and Business Development activities across the group – including identifying, screening and managing BD and Partnership targets, performing due diligence assessments and post-merger integration. The role will cover all of the MEDIFOX DAN group and requires a high level of collaboration across multiple MD businesses and support functions. It will require excellent strategic, analytical and communication skills and requires a passion for digital health, software and healthcare more generally as well as independence, flexibility and a natural curiosity.


The role will report into the Chief Operating Officer, MEDIFOX DAN and work closely with the MD executive team. It will also collaborate closely with the Corporate Strategy & Ventures team from ResMed. It will also partner closely with the Director, M&A at MEDIFOX DAN and the Senior Manager, Transformation, MEDIFOX DAN.

We are looking to hire an experienced (Senior) Manager Strategy (m/f/d) to join our MEDIFOX DAN team

Let´s talk about Responsibilities

  • Support the overall strategic development of the MD group consisting of the Medifox DAN business and its subsidiaries in out of hospital software to ensure a coherent strategy, enable the realization of synergies across businesses and identify future growth options to successfully grow the business and expand our market position.

  • Identify and define a winning strategy for the MD group taking into account individual needs and maturity states of the different MD businesses as well as the ResMed strategy.

  • Implement and execute the defined strategy together with the business leaders, manage expectations of multiple stakeholders and consider change management impact for a successful strategy implementation. Ensure a governance model is in place to track the effectiveness of our strategy as well as to be able to continuously adapt to internal and external changes

  • Lead key strategic projects impacting the strategy development and implementation.

  • As part of the growth strategy supporting Business Development, strategic Partnerships and M&A activities is a key element of the strategy manager role. This involves:

  • Understand and analyze the market as well as executing Market Assessments

  • Together with the Head of M&A identifying and screening targets

  • Being part of initial discussions with potential partners and targets

  • Performing Due Diligence and negotiating with targets

  • Driving strategic partnerships and managing BD relationships

  • Ensure an enterprise economics view for the MD Group is maintained with overall P&L supporting the strategic development. Additionally:

    • Support financial analysis and modeling for businesses in the MD Group

    • Business case development for growth

    • Identify efficiency and profit improvement opportunities

  • Maintain an overview of trends in the out-of-hospital healthcare space and as part of this attend and report back from industry conferences and events

  • Ensure the implementation of management system within area of responsibility (including health & safety, quality & environmental)

Let´s talk about Qualifications and Experience

  • Four-year Degree and a minimum of eight years related experience, will accept experience in lieu of degree.

  • Excellent data analytics and financial modeling experience- business cases and financial models (DCF, LBO, etc.)

  • Deep understanding of software and healthcare enterprise economics/incentives and value drivers

  • Experience in defining and implementing business strategies with multiple stakeholders and interests involved.

  • FP&A background (or acquired skillset) combined with a natural curiosity to identify opportunities for growth acceleration and profit improvement

  • Inventive, creative and solution oriented in ambiguous situations

  • Curiosity to drive the next levels of business questions and insights, not afraid to ask questions, big picture thinker

  • Strong self-starter who can work independently

  • Fluent German and English


  • MBA or other advanced degree

  • Investment banking or management consulting background

  • Commercial deal development and execution experience in healthcare and/or consumer wellness

  • Expertise in software, Health Care IT, or digital health
